Garmin part number: 010-02609-00
Backing a truck, trailer or long RV is easier with a useful view behind it. Garmin BC 50 sends the rear-camera image wirelessly to a compatible Garmin navigator, keeping the display you already use in the driver’s seat. This is the standard BC 50 with a license-plate mount, SKU 010-02609-00.
A wider view behind the rig
The camera provides up to 720p HD video, a 160-degree field of view and frame rates up to 30 fps. Its wireless link has a stated working range up to 50 feet for suitable installations.
For extended vehicle and trailer combinations, an optional 50-foot extension cable can increase total reach up to 100 feet. The cable is sold separately. Consider camera placement, vehicle construction and the complete wiring layout before installation.
The camera alone measures 2.50 × 2.18 × 1.70 cm and weighs 37.4 g. Its IP67 rating provides dust and weather protection for exterior use.
Wireless video still needs vehicle power
BC 50 must connect to a switched 12- or 24-volt DC source, such as the reverse-light circuit. The video signal is wireless; the camera is not battery powered. Garmin recommends professional installation.
The package includes the camera, license-plate mount, wireless transmitter and power cable, hardware and documentation. A compatible navigator is required and sold separately. This standard camera does not provide the Night Vision variant’s feature set.
Confirm the display before ordering
Supported models span selected Garmin Drive/DriveSmart, RV/Camper, dēzl, Tread and zūmo devices. Examples include RV 795/895/1095, DriveSmart 66/76/86, DriveCam 76, Tread 2, zūmo XT2/XT3, and the 7.1- and 8.8-inch Garmin Drive navigators. Check your exact model against the manufacturer-listed compatibility section below.
A navigator that works with another BC-series camera is not automatically compatible with BC 50. Match the model before fitting the camera or ordering a range-extension cable.
