Garmin part number: 010-02899-00
A clean cockpit should still have a clear record of the drive. The Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3 is about the size of a car key, yet records 1080p HD footage with a wide 140-degree view. Its built-in Garmin Clarity polarizer cuts windshield glare, while voice control lets you save a clip without taking your hands off the wheel. Add the required microSD card, route the slim power cable and let it get on with the job.
Why it belongs in your car
- Car-key-size camera weighing just 30 grams
- 1080p HD, 140-degree lens, HDR and built-in Clarity polarizer
- Automatic incident saving with date/time; voice commands
- Garmin Drive app with optional paid Vault connected services

Built for the drive

Crisp HD Video
A 140-degree lens records 1080p HD footage, with Garmin Clarity HDR helping retain useful detail through changing light.

Ultracompact Size
The car-key-size camera keeps a low profile on the windshield. Its slim power cable can route in either direction for a tidy fit in the cabin.

Automatic Incident Detection
Continuous recording starts with vehicle power. Detected incidents are saved automatically with date and time; Mini 3 does not have its own GPS receiver.

Garmin Clarity Polarizer
The built-in polarizing lens enhancement reduces windshield reflections, helping useful road detail stand out rather than letting dashboard glare dominate the picture.

View And Share Videos
Access saved online clips through Garmin Drive with a paid Vault plan and Wi-Fi connectivity, then share the relevant footage rather than passing around the camera.

Voice Control
Save a clip or manage audio recording with spoken commands while your hands stay on the wheel. Supported voice languages are English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Swedish.
Parking Guard
Receive a Garmin Drive alert for a detected parked-vehicle event with the required paid Vault plan, active Wi-Fi and constant power. Garmin specifies its separately sold Constant Power Cable for Mini 3 Parking Guard.
Live View
Check the camera’s live view through Garmin Drive on a compatible smartphone. A paid Vault plan, active Wi-Fi connection and constant power are required; an optional Constant Power Cable may be necessary.
Dash Cam Video Sync
Use Garmin Drive to review synchronized recordings from as many as four compatible Garmin dash cameras. Additional cameras are purchased separately.
Extra USB Port
The supplied power adapter has another USB port available, so the camera does not have to take the place of your phone or navigation power lead.
Durable By Design
Designed for the heat, sunlight and demanding interior conditions a dash camera faces in a vehicle.
Memory Card Required
Bring a compatible Class 10 or faster microSD card: 8 GB minimum, 512 GB maximum. A memory card is required and is not supplied.
Constant Power Cable
A separately sold Garmin Constant Power Cable can provide ongoing power through the vehicle’s OBD2 port, including when the ignition is off. Some vehicles need it for features that monitor the parked car.

Installation and what to plan for
The package includes an adhesive mount, a 13-foot vehicle power cable and a dual-USB power adapter. Supply a Class 10 or faster microSD card, at least 8 GB and up to 512 GB; a card is not included. Mini 3 uses a supercapacitor rather than an internal battery. Upward or downward cable routing makes a discreet installation easier.
Mini 3 has no built-in GPS. GPS speed/location information requires synchronization with a compatible GPS-enabled dash cam, sold separately. Live View and Parking Guard need a compatible Garmin Drive smartphone, paid Vault plan, active Wi-Fi and constant power. For Mini 3, Garmin specifies the separately sold Constant Power Cable for Parking Guard. Observe applicable camera and privacy laws.
