Live View

With an active LTE Vault plan and supported LTE coverage, open Garmin Drive to check the camera’s live view remotely. Continuous power is required; some vehicles need an optional Constant Power Cable.

View And Share Videos

Open saved footage in Garmin Drive using online Vault storage. LTE service or Wi-Fi connectivity supports sharing a video link and passcode with the people who need it.

Location Tracking

An active LTE plan lets you check the vehicle’s location through Garmin Drive when the service and coverage are available.

Theft Alerts

With an active LTE subscription, Garmin Drive can notify you if the vehicle is driven without your phone inside.

Parking Guard

A detected event affecting the parked vehicle can trigger a Garmin Drive notification with a video clip. An active LTE subscription and suitable power are required.

Incident Detection

When an incident triggers the camera, it saves footage from before, during and after the event together with GPS location, date and time.

LTE Subscription

Activate a compatible LTE Vault plan in Garmin Drive to enable cellular live viewing, vehicle-location checks, theft alerts and Parking Guard notifications. These functions depend on power and Garmin’s LTE coverage.

Crisp HD Video

The 1440p camera, 140-degree lens and Garmin Clarity HDR capture road detail by day and night. The approximately 3-inch LCD helps with alignment and settings.

Automatic Recording

Connect to vehicle power and the camera starts its continuous recording routine. You can concentrate on the drive while it keeps the footage rolling.

Voice Control

Use spoken commands to save video, start or stop audio recording and take still pictures while your hands stay on the wheel. Supported voice languages are English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Swedish.

Forward Collision Warnings

Receive an alert when the camera detects that you are following the vehicle ahead too closely. Performance depends on conditions; keep using your own judgment and safe following distance.

Lane Departure Warnings

Camera-based warnings can call attention to drifting across a lane boundary. Conditions can limit the system, so the driver remains responsible for the vehicle.

“Go” Alerts

A reminder sounds when the traffic stopped in front of you begins moving. A useful nudge during a long queue.

Red Light And Speed Cameras

Receive notifications for supported red-light and speed-camera locations. Coverage and availability depend on region.

Travelapse Feature

Turn a long drive into a shorter sequence of trip highlights with Travelapse, ready to share with friends after the drive.

Memory Card Included

The supplied 16 GB microSD card is already installed. The camera supports compatible Class 10 or faster cards up to 512 GB if you want to add storage later.

Constant Power Cable

A separately sold Garmin Constant Power Cable can provide ongoing power through the vehicle’s OBD2 port, including when the ignition is off. Some vehicles need it for features that monitor the parked car.

Dash Cam Video Sync

Use Garmin Drive to review synchronized recordings from as many as four compatible Garmin dash cameras. Additional cameras are purchased separately.

Extra USB Port

The supplied power adapter has another USB port available, so the camera does not have to take the place of your phone or navigation power lead.

Installation and what to plan for

Use the included magnetic mount, 4-meter power cable and dual-USB adapter for the installation; a shorter 1.5-meter power/data cable is also supplied. Activate an LTE Vault plan through Garmin Drive on a compatible smartphone for cellular features. Continuous remote monitoring needs continuous power; some vehicles need the separately sold Constant Power Cable connected to the OBD2 port.

LTE surveillance requires an active compatible LTE Vault subscription and supported coverage. Coverage, power and service availability determine remote access. A Constant Power Cable may be needed for parked use. Additional cameras and accessories are sold separately. Driver-warning performance can be reduced by conditions, speed/red-light camera coverage varies by region, and camera/privacy laws apply.
