Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle Products
Everything for the Type 1, from stock rebuilds to big brake upgrades
Over a thousand parts for Standard and Super Beetles, with the deepest selection in front disc brake conversions. Whether you’re pulling drums off a 1966-and-later ball joint car, running the MacPherson strut front end on a Super Beetle, or fitting 5x130 so your Beetle shares a bolt pattern with a Porsche, the kit is here, complete with rotors, calipers, pads, hardware, and a master cylinder where the setup calls for one.
Know these three things before you order a brake kit:
- Front-end type. Ball joint (1966 and later) and king & link pin (1965 and earlier) take different kits. Super Beetles from 1971 on use their own strut-type setup.
- Bolt pattern. 5x205 is the early wide five. 4x130 is the later pattern. 5x130 matches Porsche wheels and is the popular swap.
- Spindles. Some kits reuse your spindles; others include them. Check which before you buy because it changes the price and the job.
Not sure which column your car falls into? Send us the year and a photo of your front end. We’ll tell you exactly which kit fits.
