This 1.62-inch Thermlock is the 1.050-inch-long version for selected Wilwood racing calipers. The separate stainless shield reduces the direct heat path through its coated aluminum piston shell. This component comes from Wilwood Engineering's disc brake program, designed and manufactured for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood established the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California. The range spans calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, whose selection depends on the requirements of the complete braking system.
