A 0.880-inch length brings Thermlock's shield-and-shell construction to this short 1.75-inch piston format. The stainless contact shield and coated aluminum shell form a thermal barrier between the pad and the caliper's hydraulic side. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications from its base in Camarillo, California. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977. Its calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are individual components that must be selected in the context of the complete brake system.
