Product details

This Type III hard-anodized aluminum rotor uses a three-hole front-hub connection for specific Sprint and Midget racing applications. Its 0.31-inch section and drilled face are firmly identified, but conflicting manufacturer diameter references require confirmation before the exact ring is selected. Established in 1977 by Bill Wood, Wilwood develops its range around complete disc brake systems. The Camarillo, California manufacturer designs and manufactures calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and lines for motorsport, street performance and specialized applications. Installation geometry, pad selection and braking duty should be considered together when choosing this component.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the specified 3 x 5.00-inch Sprint/Midget front hub only. Unsafe for street use and unsuitable for most forms of racing; misuse can cause catastrophic failure. Resolve the diameter and pad-compound discrepancies described below before installation.

Pad-compound confirmation: the current rotor page recommends Purple compound, while Wilwood flyer FL506 specifies PolyMatrix Q for the hard-anodized aluminum rotors. Obtain Wilwood’s current recommendation for the exact rotor and caliper before selecting pads; these references should not be treated as interchangeable approvals.

Diameter confirmation: Wilwood’s exact product page lists 10.95 inches, but its FL506 flyer and aluminum-rotor press release assign 10.20 inches to this part. The linked drawing contains generic dimension labels without numeric values. Confirm the physical rotor diameter with Wilwood before purchase; neither reference is assumed to override the other.
