Product details
The D636 pattern is a rear-disc pad profile, with a nominal 0.49-inch thickness in this ProMatrix set. Wilwood's Miata brake guide identifies it for the rear, despite a front label on the dimensional illustration and inconsistent axle labels in several application entries. Wilwood Engineering was founded in 1977 by Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Each part is selected to match the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility
Miata rear use is verified for the listed standard-brake configurations, excluding later Sports Suspension where specified. Escort, Tracer and Protege selections require confirmation of rear-disc hardware and pad outline before purchase because their application entries place D636 in a conflicting front-pad column.
Application coverage, subject to the brake and equipment qualifications below: Mazda Miata (1994–1997, 1999–2005); Ford Escort (1997–2003); Mercury Tracer (1997–1999); Mazda Protege (1995–1998).
Use the fitment table below to confirm the exact year, model, trim and brake configuration. Compare the pad outline and installed caliper where a vehicle has been modified.

Use PMB Performance's 20-plus years of experience when the fitted brake package is uncertain. A caliper reference and comparison with the removed pad are useful alongside the vehicle's year and model.
