From Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and builds disc braking systems for motorsport, street and specialized uses. Bill Wood established the company in 1977; its component range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. BP-40 brake pads in the .80-inch Grand National/AV6R configuration supply four replacement pads. The requirements of the complete brake system govern the choice of individual components.

BP-40 provides an aggressive initial response and good low-temperature friction, followed by stable modulation under sustained racing heat. Wilwood lists steel, stainless steel, iron, Super Alloy and titanium rotor materials. This is a racing-only selection, not a street pad; temperature needs and system balance remain part of compound selection.
Fitment & Compatibility
The Grand National GN4R/GN6R and AV6R radial-mount listings use this 0.80-inch configuration. Legacy GN III names can cover more than one pad thickness; compare the drawing and caliper cavity.
