Product details
Bill Wood started Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures disc brake systems, calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and lines for motorsport, street vehicles and specialized installations. BP-28 brake pads in the .31-inch GP200 configuration supply four replacement pads. Each part must be selected to work with the complete brake system and its requirements.
BP-28 changes its friction behavior with rotor material and temperature: Wilwood describes medium-high friction on hot titanium or stainless rotors and medium friction at lower-to-medium temperatures on steel or iron. Its competition uses include sprint/midget, dirt oval, lighter road-course cars, drag and off-road applications. Material choice also affects wear, particularly with titanium.
