Product details

This D2314 set provides four BP10 pads with a listed 0.49-inch thickness. It should replace only the matching backing-plate profile, since a similar thickness does not establish compatibility with another caliper or pad-retention system. Wilwood Engineering was established by Bill Wood in 1977 in the course of developing its disc brake business. Based in Camarillo, California, it designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components including master cylinders, valves, fittings, brake lines, calipers and brake rotors. Motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications each require a properly matched system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the backing-plate outline, retention features and new-pad thickness to the actual caliper. The pad profile identifies the shape; it does not by itself establish vehicle fitment or axle position.

For a street-oriented system, BP10 provides progressive engagement on iron or steel rotor faces. Wilwood also recommends it for muscle cars, drag racing and light-to-medium dirt competition. Rotor material and expected braking temperature should govern compound selection; a pad that fits mechanically is not automatically right for every track session.
