Wilwood Front BP10 D1680 Brake Set, 0.715-Inch Pads

The D1680 drawing gives the backing-plate reference for this 0.715-inch BP10 set. Four replacement pads are supplied, intended for the caliper that uses this profile rather than any brake assembly sharing the same overall pad thickness. Since Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977, its work has centered on the design and manufacture of disc brake systems. The Camarillo, California company supplies calipers and brake rotors alongside master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized uses, with each component matched to the complete system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the actual caliper and its new-pad specification; the drawing caption does not establish blanket model or year coverage. Compare both the inner and outer positions in the caliper with the supplied profile. Confirm clearance with new pads and the correct rotor thickness before assembling the brake.

For a street-oriented system, BP10 provides progressive engagement on iron or steel rotor faces. Wilwood also recommends it for muscle cars, drag racing and light-to-medium dirt competition. Rotor material and expected braking temperature should govern compound selection; a pad that fits mechanically is not automatically right for every track session.
