Wilwood Rear AERO4 Brake Kit for Selected GM 1500 Trucks/SUVs 2000–2007, Black Calipers and 14.25-Inch Slotted Rotors

This rear AERO4 kit replaces the service brakes on the listed six-lug GM 1500 trucks and SUVs equipped with OE dual-piston rear calipers. Black four-piston calipers and 14.25-inch GT slotted rotors work with the retained factory parking-brake assembly. The manufacturer is Wilwood Engineering, established in 1977 by Bill Wood and based in Camarillo, California. Its design and manufacturing work covers disc brake systems and components—calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines—for street-performance, motorsport and specialized applications. Selection must account for how those components operate together.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the table below for the exact GM 1500 truck or SUV, year and brake-option combination. Listed applications span selected 2000–2007 vehicles, including restrictions for 2000 new-body models, Denali exclusions and 2007 Classic-body trucks. The OE rear dual-piston disc-brake requirement applies throughout; model name or six-lug wheels alone do not establish fitment. Check the original rear caliper configuration before committing to the larger rotor. The kit retains the OE parking-brake assembly, so inspect and adjust that mechanism as part of the conversion rather than assuming a new parking brake is included.

Brake flexlines are separate. The current kit page references rear hose kits 220-9886 and 220-11196, while installation sheet DS570 references 220-8999 and 220-11196 with year guidance. Confirm the correct rear hose kit with Wilwood for the actual vehicle and brake assembly before ordering the lines.
