Drilled and slotted 12.88-inch rotors distinguish this black-caliper Camaro/Firebird rear kit. The new service brakes use the original axle and parking mechanism, with aluminum hats and brackets supplying the required mounting geometry. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures disc brake systems, calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. The complete braking arrangement determines which individual components are appropriate.

Fitment & Compatibility
The table below covers the 1998–2002 Camaro and Firebird rear applications. Match the original axle and 2.75-inch offset, retaining the factory internal parking-brake mechanism. Aluminum hats fit the existing five-lug axle arrangement; they do not supply replacement hubs or axle shafts. Inspect the parking hardware and check DS-561 for the wheel envelope and caliper alignment. Hydraulic hoses are separate; the exact kit page lists 220-9882 for these rear applications, and the connections and routing should be verified on the vehicle. Nominal minimum wheel diameter: 17 in; 431.8 mm. Compare the actual wheel barrel and spokes with the linked clearance drawing; diameter alone does not establish fit.
