Wilwood Front FDLI Brake Upgrade for 1962–1972 Dodge / Plymouth B- and E-Body Drum Spindles, Black - Drilled/Slotted Rotors, 12.19-inch Diameter

This black-caliper Mopar front conversion uses SRP drilled and slotted rotors on the supplied hub assembly. Four-piston FDLI calipers, brackets, bearings and studs are configured for the listed 1962–1972 drum-spindle applications. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; its Camarillo, California operation serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. The requirements of the complete brake system govern the choice of individual components.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the original drum-brake spindle applications identified in the table below, including the specified Dodge and Plymouth B/E-body models. Confirm the actual year and spindle rather than substituting a later Chrysler disc spindle. DS-568 shows removal of the drum backing plates and installation of the new brackets, hubs and bearings. Select the wheel-matching hub pattern and check the 15-inch wheel template; some wheels of that diameter will not clear. The wheel contact surfaces must seat completely on the hub face. If any contact surface overhangs the hub face, DS-568 requires a separate 300-11961 steel spacer, 6.60 inches in diameter and 0.20 inch thick, between wheel and hub. Stamped steel wheels that do not overhang should use the separate 300-10716 hub shield, 6.15 inches in diameter and 0.09 inch thick, to protect the hub face. Hydraulic hoses are separate. If also changing to a two-bolt master cylinder, the listed four-bolt mounting adaptation is a separate installation requirement. Nominal minimum wheel diameter: 15 in; 381 mm. Compare the actual wheel barrel and spokes with the linked clearance drawing; diameter alone does not establish fit.

Application Notes

1. Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.
2. Universal Flexline kits available: 220-7056 (14"), 220-7699 (16") or 220-8307 (18"). Choose correct length for your application.
3. A separately selected two-bolt master cylinder requires the appropriate adapter for the vehicle's four-bolt mounting. The master cylinder and adapter are not included; the referenced adapter is not supplied by Wilwood.
4. This is a front service-brake kit. Select any rear parking-brake cable separately for the vehicle's actual rear brake system.
