Wilwood Front Red AERO6 System - GT Slotted 14.25-inch Rotors for Selected 1999–2020 Six-Lug GM Trucks / SUVs with Iron Spindles

GT slotted rotors with 72 curved vanes work with red AERO6 calipers in this 14.25-inch front system. The supplied BP-20 pads and retained original hubs are part of an installation restricted to the specified cast-iron spindles. Wilwood Engineering was founded in 1977 by Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, with calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines in its range. The requirements of the complete brake system govern the choice of individual components.

Red AERO6 calipers with GT slotted rotors and BP-20 pads make this the red-caliper choice for a truck that works its brakes hard. Slotted-only rotors handle the sustained heat of towing better than drilled ones. The same calipers with drilled-and-slotted rotors and BP-10 pads are 140-9789-DR, and the black-caliper GT kit is 140-9789. Check for iron front spindles before you order.

Fitment & Compatibility

Requires factory cast-iron front uprights/spindles; it will not fit aluminum uprights. Check the Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac entries and equipment details in the table below, including 2019 Silverado LD and Sierra Limited rather than the redesigned pickups. DS-569 describes the spindle casting clearance that may need modification for the bracket. Inspect that interface before starting work. The original hubs remain in use. Separate flexlines are 220-8998 for 1999–2006 and 220-10979 for 2007–2018 in the installation guide; verify later listed applications and hose routing. Nominal minimum wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm. Compare the actual wheel barrel and spokes with the linked clearance drawing; diameter alone does not establish fit.

1. This kit will not fit vehicles equipped with aluminum spindles (uprights) and will only work with cast iron spindles. Please check your vehicle spindles before ordering or attempting installation.
2. For this 14.25-inch front kit, DS-569 specifies 220-8998 hoses for 1999–2006 applications. Verify fittings, routing and suspension travel.
