Red AERO6 calipers distinguish this SRP front brake package for the listed six-lug GM platforms. Aluminum hats hold the 14.25-inch rotor rings on the existing hubs, while spindle material and casting clearance determine bracket compatibility. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, its range covers calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Choose each component to match the complete system’s braking requirements.

Red AERO6 calipers and SRP drilled-and-slotted rotors make this the street-look version of the 14.25-inch truck kit. It ships with BP-10 pads. If the truck tows or works its brakes hard, look at 140-9789-R, which keeps the red calipers and uses GT slotted rotors with BP-20 pads. Confirm your truck has iron front spindles before ordering, because the brackets don't fit the aluminum spindle.

Fitment & Compatibility

Requires factory cast-iron front uprights/spindles; it will not fit aluminum uprights. Check the Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac entries and equipment details in the table below, including 2019 Silverado LD and Sierra Limited rather than the redesigned pickups. DS-569 describes the spindle casting clearance that may need modification for the bracket. Inspect that interface before starting work. The original hubs remain in use. Separate flexlines are 220-8998 for 1999–2006 and 220-10979 for 2007–2018 in the installation guide; verify later listed applications and hose routing. Nominal minimum wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm. Compare the actual wheel barrel and spokes with the linked clearance drawing; diameter alone does not establish fit.

1. This kit will not fit vehicles equipped with aluminum spindles (uprights) and will only work with cast iron spindles. Please check your vehicle spindles before ordering or attempting installation.
2. For this 14.25-inch front kit, DS-569 specifies 220-8998 hoses for 1999–2006 applications. Verify fittings, routing and suspension travel.
