Wilwood Front Brake System, Selected 1999–2020 Six-Lug GM Trucks / SUVs with Iron Spindles - Drilled/Slotted Rotors in 14.25-inch Diameter, Black AERO6

This black-caliper AERO6 front package uses drilled and slotted 14.25 x 1.25-inch rotors with BP-10 pads. The brackets are intended for the specified iron uprights and do not fit the aluminum-spindle version of the vehicle. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; its Camarillo, California operation serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Component selection must account for the requirements of the complete brake system.

This kit pairs black AERO6 calipers with SRP drilled-and-slotted 14.25-inch rotors and ships with BP-10 pads. The GT slotted version (140-9789) uses BP-20 pads, so compare the two if your truck tows or carries heavy loads, where slotted-only rotors are the safer choice. As with every kit in this series, it needs the iron front spindle and keeps your original six-lug hubs. Red calipers with these rotors are 140-9789-DR.

Fitment & Compatibility

Requires factory cast-iron front uprights/spindles; it will not fit aluminum uprights. Check the Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac entries and equipment details in the table below, including 2019 Silverado LD and Sierra Limited rather than the redesigned pickups. DS-569 describes the spindle casting clearance that may need modification for the bracket. Inspect that interface before starting work. The original hubs remain in use. Separate flexlines are 220-8998 for 1999–2006 and 220-10979 for 2007–2018 in the installation guide; verify later listed applications and hose routing. Nominal minimum wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm. Compare the actual wheel barrel and spokes with the linked clearance drawing; diameter alone does not establish fit.

1. This kit will not fit vehicles equipped with aluminum spindles (uprights) and will only work with cast iron spindles. Please check your vehicle spindles before ordering or attempting installation.
2. For this 14.25-inch front kit, DS-569 specifies 220-8998 hoses for 1999–2006 applications. Verify fittings, routing and suspension travel.
