Wilwood Rear 12.88-Inch GT Kit with Red Calipers for New Big Ford Axle Ends at 2.50-Inch Offset

This red-caliper GT package is selected for a new-style Big Ford housing with 2.50-inch axle offset. The supplied 12.88-inch service rotors, parking assemblies and bearing retainers must be fitted as the matched arrangement shown in DS529. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977; the company is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines as part of its disc brake systems and component range for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Each component must suit the requirements of the complete brake installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

A new-style Big Ford end with 2.50-inch offset is the required basis for this red GT rear kit. DS529 also specifies the 3.15-inch bearing and how the retainers locate against the parking assembly. The 3.06-inch hat bore accepts an included ring for 2.80-inch registers. Verify the axle flange's 6.61-inch diameter/chamfer envelope and select separate hoses, clevises and parking cables. The generic vehicle entry is conditional on those installed-hardware measurements.

Adjust and test the mechanical parking brake as directed. Cable routing, tension and shoe adjustment affect its holding ability; do not rely on an untested parking brake alone to secure the vehicle on a slope.
