Wilwood Rear New Big Ford 2.50-Inch-Offset GT Conversion — Polished Calipers, 12.88-Inch Rotors & Parking Brake

The polished GT version combines four-piston Superlite calipers with 12.88-inch slotted rotors and internal parking shoes. Its new-style Big Ford flange and 2.50-inch offset requirements distinguish it from otherwise similar rear kits. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, selected to work together within a properly matched brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

The polished GT package fits the documented new Big Ford housing geometry at 2.50 inches of offset. Verify the 3.15-inch bearing, flange holes and retainer orientation using DS529. Parking backing plates are supplied, but their operating cable hardware and the hydraulic lines are not. Rotor centering is 3.06 inches, with a 2.80-inch adapter included. Confirm the 6.61-inch maximum axle flange and required chamfer. Use these checks on the actual vehicle instead of assuming that a Town Car model listing describes its current axle.

Adjust and test the mechanical parking brake as directed. Cable routing, tension and shoe adjustment affect its holding ability; do not rely on an untested parking brake alone to secure the vehicle on a slope.
