Wilwood Rear 2.36-Inch-Offset New Big Ford Conversion, Red Calipers and SRP 12.88-Inch Rotors

The red SRP package supplies four-piston rear calipers and 12.88-inch drilled/slotted rotors. Its new-style Big Ford mounting arrangement is tied to a 2.36-inch offset, with internal parking shoes housed behind the separate rotor hats. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are all part of Wilwood Engineering’s range of disc brake systems and components. The Camarillo, California company was founded in 1977 by Bill Wood and designs and manufactures these products for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Compatibility with the complete brake system determines the appropriate component choice.

Fitment & Compatibility

This red SRP kit is matched to a 2.36-inch-offset new-style Big Ford rear housing. DS528 defines the flange bolts, bearing and retainer arrangement. The stock Town Car application name is not enough to establish those features. Center the supplied rotor hat on the appropriate 3.06-inch register or the included 2.80-inch ring, and verify the 6.61-inch flange/chamfer envelope. Internal parking assemblies come with the kit; hoses and cable/clevis connections require a separate, vehicle-specific selection.

Adjust and test the mechanical parking brake as directed. Cable routing, tension and shoe adjustment affect its holding ability; do not rely on an untested parking brake alone to secure the vehicle on a slope.
