Wilwood Rear New Big Ford GT & Parking Conversion at 2.36-Inch Offset, 12.88-Inch Rotors with Black Calipers

The black GT rear package is for new-style Big Ford axle ends with a 2.36-inch offset. It supplies 12.88-inch rotors, Superlite 4R calipers and the internal drum parking-brake assemblies documented in DS528. Based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering has designed and manufactured disc brake systems and components since Bill Wood founded the company in 1977. Its work spans motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, with a product range covering master cylinders, calipers, brake rotors, valves, fittings and brake lines. These parts must be chosen for the requirements of the entire brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

The black GT package uses the new-style Big Ford end at a 2.36-inch offset. Match its mounting pattern and bearing to DS528 before fitting the supplied retainers and parking assemblies. The 1990 Town Car row does not certify the original rear end for this housing-specific conversion. The hat has a 3.06-inch center and includes a 2.80-inch register adapter. Keep axle-flange diameter within 6.61 inches with the specified chamfer. Supply suitable hydraulic lines and parking-cable/clevis hardware separately.

Adjust and test the mechanical parking brake as directed. Cable routing, tension and shoe adjustment affect its holding ability; do not rely on an untested parking brake alone to secure the vehicle on a slope.
