Polished Superlite calipers distinguish this old-style Big Ford SRP conversion. The 12.88-inch rotors and internal parking drums work with the specified 2.36-inch axle offset and the supplied bearing-retainer arrangement. The manufacturer is Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc brake components and complete systems, from calipers and brake rotors to valves, master cylinders, fittings and brake lines. Motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations each require those components to be matched to the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Polished calipers retain the same old-style Big Ford installation requirements: a 2.36-inch measured offset and the bearing/flange layout in DS527. Check the 6.61-inch axle-flange limit and drawing-specified chamfer before trying the rotor hat. Its 3.06-inch bore accepts the supplied 2.80-inch register adapter where needed. Install the included bearing retainers and parking backing plates as a matched assembly. Cable hardware and hoses are separate, and the table's Town Car entry must not be taken as proof of an unchanged factory axle fit.

Adjust and test the mechanical parking brake as directed. Cable routing, tension and shoe adjustment affect its holding ability; do not rely on an untested parking brake alone to secure the vehicle on a slope.
