Product details
This old-style Big Ford rear package uses black Superlite calipers with 12.88-inch GT-slotted rotors. It includes internal parking-brake assemblies and bearing retainers for the documented housing flange at 2.36-inch offset. Wilwood Engineering’s disc brake systems and components serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures brake rotors and calipers as well as master cylinders, valves, brake lines and fittings. Selecting compatible components is essential to the complete system.

Fitment & Compatibility
This black GT assembly uses the old-style Big Ford housing end, with the rotor plane set by a 2.36-inch axle offset. DS527 governs bearing retention and the bolt pattern; the generic Town Car row is insufficient to identify the axle. Parking backing plates and retainers are supplied. Their clearance depends on a correctly chamfered axle flange no larger than 6.61 inches. Match the register to the 3.06-inch hat or its included 2.80-inch ring. Hydraulic lines and parking-cable attachments must be obtained separately.

Adjust and test the mechanical parking brake as directed. Cable routing, tension and shoe adjustment affect its holding ability; do not rely on an untested parking brake alone to secure the vehicle on a slope.
