This black Superlite rear conversion is built for the Chevrolet 12-bolt factory C-clip axle at 2.81-inch offset. GT-slotted 12.88-inch rotors provide the service-brake surface, with a separate internal drum assembly for the mechanical parking brake. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977, the company also produces the individual calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines used in these installations. Selection should account for how each component works within the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Select this kit by the Chevrolet 12-bolt factory C-clip axle arrangement and 2.81-inch measured offset. It is not the special 3.15-inch-bearing or C-clip-eliminator package. The GM vehicle entries below are conditional on the installed rear housing; a front-spindle description does not establish rear-axle compatibility.

Measure the flange pattern, register and axle offset using DS523 and the worksheet. The maximum axle-flange diameter is 6.61 inches with the specified chamfer. Hydraulic lines and parking-cable/clevis hardware are separate; universal cable kit 330-9371 is an option requiring installation-specific routing.

Adjust and test the mechanical parking brake as directed. Cable routing, tension and shoe adjustment affect its holding ability; do not rely on an untested parking brake alone to secure the vehicle on a slope.
