Black Dynalite calipers and plain 12.19-inch rotors form this front drum-to-disc conversion for the specified early Ford spindles. The package includes hubs and bearings, so spindle dimensions and wheel-to-hub seating deserve the same attention as the caliper clearance. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977; the company is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines as part of its disc brake systems and component range for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Each component must suit the requirements of the complete brake installation.

Fitment & Compatibility
Intended for the early Ford drum-brake spindle used by the qualified 1937–1948 passenger-car, sedan-delivery and pickup applications below. The application list includes Deluxe, Standard, Super Deluxe and the individual numbered Ford models. Check the actual spindle and bearing dimensions before treating a passenger-car or truck listing as a match.
Match the bracket and hub installation to DS481. The original rubber hoses do not connect directly to the Wilwood calipers; the listed 220-8307 flexline package is separate and must be checked for length and routing.
The wheel contact surface must seat fully on the hub. If it overhangs the hub face, Wilwood requires the separate 6.60-inch-diameter x 0.20-inch steel spacer 300-11961. For stamped-steel wheels that do not overhang, Wilwood recommends the 6.15-inch x 0.09-inch hub shield 300-10716. Inspect contact surfaces and follow the wheel maker’s tightening requirements.

Application Notes
- Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.
- Universal Flexline kits available: 220-7056 (14"), 220-7699 (16") or 220-8307 (18"). Choose correct length for your application.
- Master Cylinder may require modification to existing pushrod assembly to install.
- This front brake kit contains no parking-brake mechanism. Parking-brake cable selection belongs to the separate rear brake installation.
