A 10.75-inch solid steel rotor keeps this GM front package specific to drag-racing use. This Forged Dynalite front drag hub brake kit combines Type III anodized 4-piston calipers and 10.75-inch drilled rotors. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, selected to work together as a complete brake system.

  • Rotor construction: Steel; solid; Drilled friction surface.
  • Calipers: 4 pistons; forged aluminum; stainless steel pistons.
  • Caliper attachment: lug mount; 1/8-27 NPT hydraulic inlet.
  • Caliper finish: Type III anodized.
  • Supplied hub wheel bolt circles: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm.
  • Included wheel stud thread: 1/2-20.
  • Wheel-size guide: 15 in; 381 mm minimum nominal diameter; verify actual template clearance.

  • Spindles, master cylinder, brake booster and hydraulic brake lines are not included.

Fitment & Compatibility

This drag-racing kit applies only to the listed GM front spindles originally using an 11-inch rotor. The factory spindle requires modification as detailed in DS456. Confirm the exact spindle and complete vehicle brake configuration before ordering. Maximum vehicle weight is 2,800 lb with rear disc brakes or 2,400 lb with rear drum brakes.

Package and installation requirements

  • Drag-racing package: maximum vehicle weight 2,800 lb with rear discs or 2,400 lb with rear drums.
  • Original spindle modifications are required; this is not a general-purpose street conversion.
  • The catalog wheel-size guide is 15 inches. Any smaller wheel must be checked against the actual manufacturer clearance diagram; diameter alone does not guarantee fit.
  • Wheel contact surfaces must be fully supported by the hub face. Where they overhang it, Wilwood requires its separately sold 6.60-inch-diameter x 0.20-inch steel spacer. For stamped-steel wheels that do not overhang, the instructions recommend the separate 6.15-inch-diameter x 0.09-inch hub shield. Verify the exact wheel with the installation instructions.
  • Manufacturer hub offset is +0.31 inch per side. Include this change in the drag car’s wheel-position and clearance checks.
