Product details

Black calipers and SRP rotors accompany the dual-pattern hubs in this spindle-dependent conversion. The supplied black powder-coated 4-piston calipers and 12.19-inch SRP drilled-and-slotted rotors are configured for classic GM and listed Ridetech pin-spindle applications. Wilwood Engineering began in 1977 under founder Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized vehicles. Calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines must be selected around the needs of the complete system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Fitment includes the exact classic GM drum/disc spindle combinations and Ridetech pin-spindle installations shown below. The Ridetech rows also cover specified Ford and Mercury applications and require that aftermarket spindle; they are not stock-spindle fitments. Match every qualifier in the relevant row. Original GM spindles require the modifications detailed in DS448.

Check the actual wheel against the manufacturer template, including the inner barrel and back of the spokes. A nominal wheel diameter by itself does not guarantee clearance.

  • Manufacturer part number: 140-7675-D.
  • Calipers: 4 pistons; forged aluminum; stainless steel pistons.
  • Caliper attachment: lug mount; 1/8-27 NPT hydraulic inlet.
  • Caliper finish: Black Powder Coat.
  • Supplied hub wheel bolt circles: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm.
  • Included wheel stud thread: 1/2-20.
  • Rotor dimensions: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm diameter x 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.
  • Rotor construction: Iron; vented; SRP Drilled & Slotted friction surface.
  • Sold as one kit. Mounting hardware is included. Replacement hubs are included.
  • Brake pads are included; use the compound and installation instructions specified for this rotor package.
  • Spindles, master cylinder, brake booster and hydraulic brake lines are not included.
  • Wheel-size guide: 15 in; 381 mm minimum nominal diameter; verify actual template clearance.

Package and installation requirements

  • Hub bolt circles are 5 x 4.5 and 5 x 4.75 inches, with 1/2-20 wheel studs. Wheel pattern alone does not establish spindle fit.
  • Check spindle preparation, bearing installation and wheel clearance against DS448. Brake hoses are purchased separately.
  • Wheel contact surfaces must be fully supported by the hub face. Where they overhang it, Wilwood requires its separately sold 6.60-inch-diameter x 0.20-inch steel spacer. For stamped-steel wheels that do not overhang, the instructions recommend the separate 6.15-inch-diameter x 0.09-inch hub shield. Verify the exact wheel with the installation instructions.
  • Wilwood lists a +0.19-inch hub offset per side for this kit. Check the resulting wheel location with the actual GM or Ridetech spindle installation before choosing wheel backspacing.

Application Notes

  1. Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.
  2. Universal Flexline kits available: 220-7056 (14"), 220-7699 (16") or 220-8307 (18"). Choose correct length for your application.
  3. This kit supplies front service-brake components. No parking-brake mechanism or parking-brake cables are included; verify the vehicle's separate rear parking-brake system.
