Product details
This polished/plain-disc package requires the 2.36-inch new-style Ford axle measurement. Its polished 4-piston calipers and 12.19-inch plain-face rotors are assembled around the requirements of Big Ford New Style, 2.36-inch offset. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, designs and manufactures disc brake systems in Camarillo, California. The range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, with each component chosen to suit the complete brake system.
Fitment & Compatibility
Although this package uses the Big Ford new-style/Torino flange, its required axle offset is 2.36 inches. That dimension differentiates it from the commonly encountered 2.50-inch version with a similar housing-end description. Check the actual shaft and housing combination against DS498 and the offset worksheet rather than inferring the offset from the flange name. The 1990 Lincoln Town Car row below does not override those measurements. The one-piece drum/rotor houses an internal parking-brake shoe assembly, while the four-piston caliper operates the service brake. Before fitting the system, establish how the parking cables will attach and release, select the hydraulic lines, and check the complete wheel profile. The nominal 15-inch wheel guide is not a promise that every 15-inch wheel clears.

Package and installation requirements
- Mechanical parking is provided by shoes within the rotor’s integral drum. The 12.19-inch disc surfaces are operated by the service calipers, so cable adjustment does not replace hydraulic brake setup.
- This kit supplies no parking cable or flexline set. Wilwood identifies universal cable kit 330-9371; confirm the required routing and any installation modifications.
