Product details

Black SRP brakes and an internal parking mechanism fit the measured Special-end rear axle. The supplied black powder-coated 4-piston calipers and 12.19-inch SRP drilled-and-slotted rotors are configured for Chevrolet 12-bolt Special, 3.15-inch fixed bearing. Wilwood Engineering began in 1977 under founder Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized vehicles. Calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines must be selected around the needs of the complete system.

Fitment & Compatibility

This Chevrolet 12-bolt Special package is built around a 3.15-inch fixed axle bearing and a 2.81-inch axle offset. It is distinct from Wilwood’s OE C-clip-end conversion. Verify the fixed-bearing housing-end dimensions in DS445 before interpreting any of the vehicle applications below. A modified Camaro, Chevelle or other listed GM car may have several possible rear ends, regardless of its front spindle setup. In this package the rear rotor also contains the drum for the internal parking shoes, giving the mechanical parking system its own friction surface. Complete the installation plan with cable adaptation, hydraulic lines and a wheel-template check. If the axle bearing or retaining hardware cannot be identified, obtain that information before selecting the kit.

  • Caliper attachment: lug mount; 1/8-27 NPT hydraulic inlet.
  • Caliper finish: Black Powder Coat.
  • Rotor/hat wheel-stud clearance patterns: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm.
  • Rotor/hat stud-hole clearance diameters: 0.52 in; 13.21 mm. These are hole sizes, not wheel-stud thread specifications.
  • The rotor/hat drilling does not change the vehicle hub or axle wheel bolt pattern.
  • Rotor dimensions: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm diameter x 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.
  • Rotor construction: Iron; vented; SRP Drilled & Slotted friction surface.
  • Sold as one kit. Mounting hardware is included. Hubs are not included.
  • Brake pads are included; use the compound and installation instructions specified for this rotor package.
  • Spindles, master cylinder, brake booster and hydraulic brake lines are not included.

Package and installation requirements

  • The fixed-bearing Special-end assembly includes internal parking shoes beneath the one-piece rear drum/rotors. Parking operation remains separate from the four-piston hydraulic service calipers.
  • Hydraulic flexlines and parking cables must be purchased independently. Check whether the universal 330-9371 cable arrangement needs alterations to connect to the vehicle.
