Wilwood Red Rear Disc & Parking Conversion for Early Oldsmobile/Pontiac Ends — 12.19-inch SRP Rotors

The red SRP option adds internal parking-brake shoes to the specified 2.81-inch-offset axle. For 1958–1964 Oldsmobile / Pontiac housing ends, Wilwood specifies red powder-coated 4-piston calipers and 12.19-inch SRP drilled-and-slotted rotors in this rear package. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977. From Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. This kit should be matched to the hydraulic and mechanical requirements of the complete vehicle.

Package and installation requirements

• The one-piece iron drum/rotors incorporate the parking-brake drums; the internal shoes provide a mechanical parking brake independently of the four-piston service calipers.
• Parking-brake cables and hydraulic brake lines are separate. Wilwood references universal cable kit 330-9371; installation can require cable or vehicle modifications.

Fitment & Compatibility

The 1958–1964 date range describes the Oldsmobile/Pontiac housing-end design used by this kit. It does not restrict every possible installation to those vehicle years, nor does it establish direct fitment to all later GM cars in the application list. Those modified vehicles still need the correct rear end with a measured 2.81-inch axle offset. Compare the flange shape and bracket locations with DS427 before choosing the package. An internal drum and shoe assembly supplies the parking function separately from the Dynalite service caliper. Allow for cable adaptation and hydraulic hose selection during the conversion. If the car has a replacement rear axle, identify that assembly first; the vehicle identification number alone cannot confirm the housing end fitted to a modified car.

• The rotor/hat drilling does not change the vehicle hub or axle wheel bolt pattern.
