Product details

Plain discs and polished calipers form the restrained rotor-face version of this hub package. Its polished 4-piston calipers and 12.19-inch plain-face rotors are assembled around the requirements of 1971–1980 Ford Pinto / 1974–1978 Mustang II. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, designs and manufactures disc brake systems in Camarillo, California. The range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, with each component chosen to suit the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

The instructions identify 1971–1980 Ford Pinto and 1974–1978 Ford Mustang II front spindles. This kit includes five-lug hubs; it does not retain a factory four-lug wheel pattern. Wilwood states a 0.74-inch outward wheel-location change per side. Check wheel placement and clearance before choosing wheels.

Print and use the manufacturer wheel template at its specified scale. Check the barrel, spoke shape and offset on the wheels that will actually be used.

Package and installation requirements

  • Wilwood marks this kit obsolete without identifying a replacement number on the current page. Confirm availability and the correct replacement with PMB Performance or Wilwood before ordering.
  • The 0.74-inch track-width change is per side; confirm fender, suspension and wheel clearance.
  • Wheel contact surfaces must be fully supported by the hub face. Where they overhang it, Wilwood requires its separately sold 6.60-inch-diameter x 0.20-inch steel spacer. For stamped-steel wheels that do not overhang, the instructions recommend the separate 6.15-inch-diameter x 0.09-inch hub shield. Verify the exact wheel with the installation instructions.
