This red rear package retains the original parking-brake hardware beneath its drilled-and-slotted discs. For Subaru Impreza / Forester and Saab 9-2X, Wilwood specifies red powder-coated 4-piston calipers and 12.19-inch SRP drilled-and-slotted rotors in this rear package. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977. From Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. This kit should be matched to the hydraulic and mechanical requirements of the complete vehicle.

Fitment & Compatibility

A single-piston factory rear caliper and 170 mm parking-brake shoes are the essential starting equipment for this US-market Subaru/Saab package. The list includes Impreza RS from 1999–2005 and WRX from 2002–2005, plus the specified 2004 Outback/TS, 2005–2007 Outback Sport and 2006–2007 2.5i versions. Forester applications from 2001–2008 require factory rear discs, and Saab coverage is the 2005–2006 9-2X. These entries are not interchangeable with every Subaru rear brake package. The existing parking mechanism remains in use beneath the replacement rotor, so inspect its shoes and operating parts before installation. Confirm the entire row below and the DS411 mounting drawing, particularly if the car has acquired donor hubs or larger rear brakes.

Before ordering, compare the wheel profile with the Wilwood clearance diagram. The stated minimum size does not establish spoke or barrel clearance for every wheel of that diameter.
