This red-caliper package pairs a plain rotor face with the Special-end mounting system. At the rear axle, this kit pairs red powder-coated 4-piston calipers and 12.19-inch plain-face rotors with the mounting hardware for Chevrolet 12-bolt Special, 3.15-inch fixed bearing. Based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977. It designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, with a range including calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Selecting the mounting and hydraulic components together is part of building the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use this package only with the Chevrolet 12-bolt Special housing-end arrangement and its 3.15-inch fixed axle bearing. The listed modified GM applications still require that rear axle hardware; a vehicle name or front spindle conversion does not establish rear-kit fit. Wilwood currently lists a 2.91-inch axle offset, while the DS293 instruction cover specifies 2.81 inches. Measure your axle and have Wilwood confirm the correct kit before ordering.

Wheel selection requires the complete clearance profile in the instructions. Confirm radial and spoke clearance; do not rely on the minimum diameter alone.
