Product details

The black-caliper SRP package is for a measured Special-end axle conversion. The supplied black powder-coated 4-piston calipers and 12.19-inch SRP drilled-and-slotted rotors are configured for Chevrolet 12-bolt Special, 3.15-inch fixed bearing. Wilwood Engineering began in 1977 under founder Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized vehicles. Calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines must be selected around the needs of the complete system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use this package only with the Chevrolet 12-bolt Special housing-end arrangement and its 3.15-inch fixed axle bearing. The listed modified GM applications still require that rear axle hardware; a vehicle name or front spindle conversion does not establish rear-kit fit. Wilwood currently lists a 2.91-inch axle offset, while the DS293 instruction cover specifies 2.81 inches. Measure your axle and have Wilwood confirm the correct kit before ordering.

Check the actual wheel against the manufacturer template, including the inner barrel and back of the spokes. A nominal wheel diameter by itself does not guarantee clearance.

  • Caliper attachment: lug mount; 1/8-27 NPT hydraulic inlet.
  • Caliper finish: Black Powder Coat.
  • Rotor/hat wheel-stud clearance patterns: 5 X 4.5 in; 5 X 114.3 mm; 5 X 4.75 in; 5 X 120.65 mm; 5 X 5 in; 5 X 127 mm.
  • Rotor/hat stud-hole clearance diameters: 0.520 in; 13.21 mm. These are hole sizes, not wheel-stud thread specifications.
  • The rotor/hat drilling does not change the vehicle hub or axle wheel bolt pattern.
  • Rotor dimensions: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm diameter x 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.
  • Rotor construction: Iron; vented; SRP Drilled & Slotted friction surface.
  • Sold as one kit. Mounting hardware is included. Hubs are not included.
  • Brake pads are included; use the compound and installation instructions specified for this rotor package.
  • Spindles, master cylinder, brake booster and hydraulic brake lines are not included.
  • Housing/flange arrangement: 12 Bolt Special.
  • Axle offset: confirm with Wilwood; the current product page specifies 2.91 inches and the installation cover specifies 2.81 inches.
