Product details

New-style Ford rear conversion with red Wilwood Dynalite calipers and plain 12.19-inch rotors. Match the 2.50-inch axle geometry and wheel pattern. From Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and builds disc braking systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized uses. Founder Bill Wood started the company in 1977. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are selected for the requirements of the complete brake system.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 140-2118-R
  • Rotor material and size: Choose this 12.19 x 0.81-inch plain face rotor configuration. The rotor material is iron and its construction is vented.
  • Caliper specification: Finish selection is red powder coat. Each forged aluminum caliper carries 4 pistons with stainless construction.
  • Caliper interface: 1/8-27 NPT inlet thread; calipers attach through the specified lug mounting layout.
  • Housing-end requirement: Big Ford New Style; 2.50 in; 63.5 mm
  • Rotor/hat wheel-stud clearance pattern: 5 X 4.5 in; 5 X 4.75 in; 5 X 5 in (5 X 114.3 mm; 5 X 120.65 mm; 5 X 127 mm)
  • Wheel fit: Check the wheel-clearance diagram; the listed minimum wheel diameter is 15 inches.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the new-style flange in DS-127 and measure the axle offset rather than relying on the Town Car row below. Old-style big Ford and small Ford housing ends are different configurations. Verify the wheel pattern, hydraulic-line selection and the actual wheel profile before installation.
