Red SX6R calipers accompany the drilled/slotted 15-inch rotors in this Roadster Shop kit. The Type III anodized aluminum hats use a dynamic lug interface and retaining ring, while the six-piston calipers provide 5.40 square inches of effective piston area. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.
Fitment & Compatibility
This SX6R configuration requires the Roadster Shop Mustang II upright and the five-on-4.75-inch hub application described in DS-1703. Confirm the precise hub and hat dimensions before ordering; the original vehicle's model year does not identify this custom assembly. The 15-inch rotors attach through dynamic drive lugs and wear clips, secured by a retaining ring. Follow the guide's snap-ring engagement checks and the prescribed steering-arm bracket location. Retain compatible hubs and supply spindles and flexlines separately. Check wheel clearance for the rotor, large caliper body and hose routing. Nominal minimum wheel diameter: 19 in; 482.6 mm. The linked wheel-clearance diagram must confirm barrel and spoke clearance; wheel diameter alone does not guarantee fit.
