Product details

Red six-piston XRS6R calipers clamp 14-inch SRP rotors in this Chevrolet/GMC front conversion. The required Wilwood aluminum modular ProSpindles determine the installation and wheel-position change; neither factory spindles nor an unspecified drop spindle can substitute. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its components include calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, selected to suit the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

A 14-inch front brake envelope and the Wilwood C10 aluminum modular Pro Drop Spindle define this installation. Match the five-lug hub hardware and the individual Chevrolet/GMC truck application in the table; stock spindles will not accept the kit. Wheel-mounting position changes relative to the factory brakes and spindle: outward by 0.41 inch per side for 1963–1970, inward by 0.06 inch for 1971–1987. Allow for those changes when checking wheel and body clearance. Hubs and spindles are not supplied, nor are flexlines. Select the applicable 220-7056, 220-11237 or 220-12168 hose kit. Nominal minimum wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm. The linked wheel-clearance diagram must confirm barrel and spoke clearance; wheel diameter alone does not guarantee fit.

Application Notes

  1. Brake kits require Wilwood C10 Aluminum Modular Pro Drop Spindles to fit. Will not fit original equipment spindles.
  2. Brake kit wheel offset is +0.41 outboard from stock OE brakes and spindle for years 1963 – 1970. Wheel offset is -0.06 inboard from stock OE brakes and spindle for years 1971 – 1987.
  3. This is a front service-brake kit. Any rear parking-brake cable is selected separately for the vehicle's rear brake system.
