This Big Ford rear assembly uses 14-inch drilled/slotted discs with black XRS4R and EPB calipers. The electronic parking system needs no mechanical cables, but its switch, harness routing and control-unit placement must be planned alongside the separate hydraulic lines. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.
Fitment & Compatibility
Fit the 14-inch XRS4R/EPB assembly only after verifying the Big Ford New Style housing end and 2.50-inch axle offset. The worksheet establishes the required flange, register and bearing dimensions; the table's 1990 Lincoln Town Car listing is conditional on that hardware. Included electric parking calipers operate through the supplied switch, control unit and universal harness. They are a parking system and must not be used for a moving emergency stop. Hydraulic hoses are not included. Check clearance for both calipers, the larger rotor and the electrical connections. Nominal minimum wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm. The linked wheel-clearance diagram must confirm barrel and spoke clearance; wheel diameter alone does not guarantee fit.
