Product details

Black six-piston AERO6 calipers and 15-inch SRP drilled-and-slotted rotors make up this GM 4x4 front kit. The 1.25-inch-thick rotor package includes BP-10 pads but leaves hydraulic hose selection to the specific installation. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are all part of Wilwood Engineering’s range of disc brake systems and components. The Camarillo, California company was founded in 1977 by Bill Wood and designs and manufactures these products for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Compatibility with the complete brake system determines the appropriate component choice.

Fitment & Compatibility

Allow for the 15-inch rotor and AERO6 caliper when assessing a listed GM six-lug 4x4 front application. Nominal 19-inch wheels still need a template check. The application table covers selected K-series pickups/Suburbans, Blazer/K5 Blazer and Jimmy vehicles across 1971–1991, with model-specific start and end years.

Follow DS1672 for the hub wheel-stud-hole modification and check the complete hydraulic arrangement. Wilwood recommends a 15/16-inch master cylinder with the factory vacuum booster and pedal; the 1.12-inch original bore causes very high pedal effort and is not recommended. If the rear axle still has drum brakes, include the recommended 10-pound residual valve and a proportioning valve in that circuit. Hydraulic hoses must be purchased separately.

Check the complete application table below, including its model-year splits and configuration notes.
