Product details

This 14-inch SRP conversion supplies black AERO6 calipers for the listed GM K-series and utility-model front applications. The drilled/slotted rotors mount on the six-lug hub arrangement after the required stud-hole preparation. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures the disc brake systems and components used throughout its motorsport, street-performance and specialized product range. Bill Wood established Wilwood in 1977, and the company is based in Camarillo, California. Its calipers, brake rotors, valves, master cylinders, brake lines and fittings are selected according to the demands of the whole brake installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

This 14-inch AERO6 front installation requires the specified GM six-lug 4x4 hub arrangement. Check the individual 1971–1991 Chevrolet/GMC K-series, Blazer/K5 Blazer, Jimmy and related Suburban rows; only the years shown for the particular model apply. Verify the full brake envelope within the wheel, even when its nominal diameter is 18 inches.

The manual calls for modification of the hub’s wheel-stud holes before brake assembly. A 15/16-inch master-cylinder bore is recommended with the original pedal and vacuum booster; avoid the OE 1.12-inch bore because Wilwood warns of very high effort. Retaining rear drums also calls for the recommended rear-circuit 10-pound residual and proportioning valves. Choose the required hydraulic hose set for the vehicle.
