Product details

Black six-piston Superlite calipers and 12.19-inch GT-slotted rotors form this front conversion for the listed GM six-lug 4x4 models. The installation includes hub modification and a master-cylinder compatibility check, so the kit should be planned as part of the complete hydraulic system. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977; the company is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines as part of its disc brake systems and component range for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Each component must suit the requirements of the complete brake installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

The 12.19-inch Superlite front package applies to the listed GM six-lug 4x4 models within 1971–1991. Match the individual Chevrolet K10, Blazer/K5 Blazer or GMC K15/K1500/Jimmy application, including the relevant Suburban entries; the table contains the actual model-year splits. A nominal 15-inch wheel is only a starting point for the clearance check.

Prepare the front hub’s wheel-stud holes as shown in DS1670. With the factory pedal and vacuum booster, Wilwood recommends a 15/16-inch master-cylinder bore; the OE 1.12-inch bore is not recommended because of very high pedal effort. A retained rear-drum circuit should use the recommended 10-pound residual valve and proportioning valve. Select hydraulic hoses separately.

Use the fitment table below to confirm the exact year, model, trim and installation notes.
