Wilwood Rear AERO4 Electric Parking Kit — Six-Lug Big Ford New Style 2.50-Inch Offset, Black 14-Inch GT

Black AERO4 calipers and 14-inch GT-slotted rotors provide the hydraulic service brakes in this Big Ford New Style rear kit. Separate EPB calipers, their controller and the wiring harness supply the parking function for the matched six-lug axle. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, selected to work together within a properly matched brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

A six-lug Big Ford New Style axle at 2.50-inch offset is required for the 14-inch AERO4/EPB package. Check the large-bearing housing flange and 6 x 5.5-inch wheel-stud layout rather than selecting by vehicle name alone. The retained 1990 Town Car listing cannot establish that its original axle has the required conversion geometry.

Use DS1651 to confirm the 2.80-inch axle register, 6.61-inch maximum flange diameter and 0.050-inch x 45-degree chamfer. Both AERO4 service calipers and auxiliary EPB calipers need wheel clearance. Supplied electronic controls operate the parking system; purchase appropriate service-brake hoses/fittings separately and plan their routing before assembly.

The electric parking brake is for stationary parking, not an emergency-stop brake. Applying it while the vehicle is moving can lock the rear wheels and cause a skid. Follow the wiring and holding-test procedures in the manufacturer’s instructions.
