The conversion combines the caliper, pad and rotor configuration specified for this axle and mounting arrangement. From Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, the company produces calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Fitment & Compatibility

Applies to the listed 1988–1998 Chevrolet and GMC C1500 Pickup five-lug, two-wheel-drive axle configurations with a measured 3.25-inch offset. The table below distinguishes the early front-brake/chassis options and later five-lug versions; an Iron ProSpindle entry does not replace the rear-axle checks. Compare axle-flange registration, housing ends and wheel clearance before ordering. Electronic parking is independent of the hydraulic service calipers. Install the controller, switch, ground, accessory feed and fused 12V battery supply to DS-1353; this system is for parking, not emergency stops. Suitable hydraulic flexlines are required separately.
