Maverick R, R X, R X RS and R X RS Smart-Shox rear brakes receive black calipers and drilled rotors. Check the six-lug hub and rock-guard clearance. The conversion combines the caliper, pad and rotor configuration specified for this axle and mounting arrangement. DS-1626 requires removal of the factory rock guard to clear the larger rear brake assembly. Verify the retained six-lug hub, rotor registration and adjacent suspension clearance. Compare the complete NDPR wheel template with the actual wheel; a 15-inch nominal diameter does not guarantee clearance.
