The conversion combines the caliper, pad and rotor configuration specified for this axle and mounting arrangement. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems from its base in Camarillo, California. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977. Its range of calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications; each part must suit the requirements of the complete braking system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the supplied AERO6 front hubs to the actual Chevrolet spindle and wheel pattern before ordering this red GT package. DS-1589 covers the specified 1968–1970 full-size spindles and 1969–1982 Corvette C3 arrangement. Bel Air, Biscayne, Caprice and Impala have brake-option restrictions; Brookwood, Kingswood, Townsman and Estate do not all share identical year coverage. The 1968 application excludes the single-piston power-disc configuration. Verify the table below row by row, choose 5 × 4.50 or 4.75-inch wheels for the included hubs and 1/2-20 studs, and obtain suitable flexlines separately.
