Product details

Red AERO6 front hub brakes suit listed Bel Air, Biscayne, Impala and Caprice spindles. Match the 14-inch GT rotor package to the actual wheels. The conversion combines the caliper, pad and rotor configuration specified for this axle and mounting arrangement. The manufacturer is Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc brake systems along with calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications each call for components matched to the overall braking arrangement.

Fitment & Compatibility

For listed full-size Chevrolet drum-spindle cars, the red AERO6 calipers clamp 14.00 × 1.25-inch GT rotors carried on the supplied hubs. Bel Air, Biscayne and Impala coverage spans the specified 1965–1968 rows; Caprice begins in 1966. Compare the installed spindle, bearing arrangement and wheel location with DS-1587 before disassembly. Choose the correct 5 × 4.50 or 4.75-inch hub pattern and check lug-nut compatibility with the included 1/2-20 studs. Provide compatible flexlines separately and verify the complete clearance drawing. The table below identifies the exact original brake configurations.
