Wilwood Rear Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotor and Hat Kit, Mazda Miata Sport Package (2001–2005)

For a Mazda Miata Sport Package retaining its OE rear calipers, this replacement package supplies srp drilled & slotted 10.85-inch brake rotors, aluminum hats and registration adapters. It replaces the rotor assembly rather than changing the hydraulic caliper. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc-brake components and systems. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977. Motorsport, specialized applications and street-performance vehicles use its range of calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, with component selection matched to the finished brake system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-17644-D; supplied as an axle kit.
• Rotor hats: Aluminum big brake hat - short offset; Black E-Coat; hat offset 0.750 inches. Hat offset is distinct from axle offset.
• Wheel envelope: 15-inch minimum nominal wheel diameter; verify the entire wheel-clearance drawing, including spoke and barrel shape.
• Brake rotor size: 10.85-inch outside diameter × 0.39-inch thickness; solid construction.
• Hardware and retained components: Rotor rings, aluminum hats, registration adapters and rotor bolts supplied; reuse the factory rear calipers and wheel hubs. No brake pads are supplied.
• Rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 4 x 3.93 in; 4 x 99.82 mm; cataloged hole clearances 0.500 in; 12.70 mm. These are rotor or hat drillings, not replacement wheel studs. The retained hub or axle determines the vehicle wheel pattern.
• Hydraulic lines: Original rear calipers and hydraulic connection remain; hydraulic hoses are not included.
• Rotor specification: Material: Iron; Type: solid replacement rotor ring; Style: SRP Drilled & Slotted; Surface Finish: Black Electro Coat.

Fitment & Compatibility

DS1566 specifies the 2001–2005 Mazda Miata with Sport Package and retains the original rear calipers. Match the Sport/Sports Suspension brake package and the 2001 VIN split shown below. These 10.85-inch solid rotor rings bolt to aluminum hats with supplied registration adapters. No calipers, pads or hydraulic hoses are included; the 15-inch wheel envelope and original hub register must be checked.
