Wilwood Rear Four-Piston GT Brake Package with Internal Parking Shoes, Red, Chevrolet / GMC C1500 (1988–1998)

For Chevrolet / GMC C1500 (1988–1998), this rear Superlite 4R kit uses red Wilwood calipers and gt slotted rotors. Its 4-piston hydraulic layout and 12.88-inch rotor diameter need to be checked against the actual hub, upright and wheel arrangement. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company makes disc-brake systems for street-performance, motorsport and specialized applications. Its calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are selected around the demands of the complete braking installation.

• Parking brake: Internal shoe parking brake supplied; modify the original cable with included cable-end adapter kit 330-17540.
• Brake rotor size: 12.88-inch outside diameter × 1.10-inch thickness; vented friction section.
• Hardware and retained components: Mounting hardware supplied; existing wheel hubs retained; spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not included.
• Housing-flange requirement: 88-98 C1500 flange; 3.25-inch axle offset, measured using the manufacturer worksheet.
• Service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 4R; 4 pistons per caliper; Red Powder Coat; radial mounting; stainless pistons.
• Rotor specification: Material: Spec-37 Iron; Type: GT 48 Curved Vane; Style: GT Slotted; Surface Finish: Black Electro Coat.
• Rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm; cataloged hole clearances 0.580 in; 14.73 mm. These are rotor or hat drillings, not replacement wheel studs. The retained hub or axle determines the vehicle wheel pattern.
• Hydraulic lines: Hydraulic flexlines and fittings are not included; select compatible lines for the complete installation.
• Rotor hats: Aluminum parking brake hat - standard; Black E-Coat; hat offset 1.950 inches. Hat offset is distinct from axle offset.
• Supplied friction pads: BP-10 compound; match operating conditions to the intended use.
• Wheel envelope: 17-inch minimum nominal wheel diameter; verify the entire wheel-clearance drawing, including spoke and barrel shape.
• Hydraulic sizing: cataloged bore sizes 1.12, 1.12 inches; piston area 1.98 square inches; inlet 1/8-27 NPT.

Fitment & Compatibility

DS1564 specifies the five-lug C1500 rear axle and 3.25-inch axle offset. Confirm the Chevrolet or GMC C1500 row below, the flange register and at least the documented 17-inch wheel envelope. The internal parking brake requires modifying the OE cable with the included cable-end kit; routing and adjustment are part of installation.
