Wilwood Rear Dynalite Conversion with Red Calipers & Drilled Rotors, Chevrolet / GMC C1500 (1988–1998)

This rear Dynalite package brings together 12.19-inch srp drilled & slotted brake rotors, pads and red 4-piston Wilwood calipers for Chevrolet / GMC C1500 (1988–1998). Rotor registration, caliper mounting and the wheel envelope should all be compared with the installation drawing. Established by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering develops disc-brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. The range spans calipers and brake rotors through master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, all requiring selection to suit the other parts of the brake system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-17541-DR; supplied as an axle kit.
• Brake rotor size: 12.19-inch outside diameter × 0.81-inch thickness; vented friction section.
• Hydraulic sizing: cataloged bore sizes 1.38, 1.38 inches; piston area 3.00 square inches; inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Wheel envelope: 15-inch minimum nominal wheel diameter; verify the entire wheel-clearance drawing, including spoke and barrel shape.
• Hydraulic lines: Hydraulic flexlines and fittings are not included; select compatible lines for the complete installation.
• Rotor specification: Material: Iron; Type: SRP Drilled Rotor & Hat; Style: SRP Drilled & Slotted; Surface Finish: Black Electro Coat.
• Parking brake: Internal shoe parking brake supplied; modify the original cable with included cable-end adapter kit 330-17540.
• Supplied friction pads: Pad compound should be confirmed with the supplied kit; the current component specification and installation parts list differ.
• Hardware and retained components: Mounting hardware supplied; existing wheel hubs retained; spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not included.
• Service calipers: Forged Dynalite Internal; 4 pistons per caliper; Red Powder Coat; lug mounting; stainless pistons.
• Housing-flange requirement: 88-98 C1500 flange; 3.25-inch axle offset, measured using the manufacturer worksheet.
• Rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm; cataloged hole clearances 0.58 in; 14.73 mm. These are rotor or hat drillings, not replacement wheel studs. The retained hub or axle determines the vehicle wheel pattern.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the five-lug 1988–1998 Chevrolet and GMC C1500 axle flange documented in DS1563. Verify the housing pattern, 3.25-inch measured axle offset and the specific wheel clearance. The supplied internal parking-brake assembly uses the OE cable only after modification with the included cable-end adapter kit.
